It’s Skirt Weather! Skkrrtt Skrrrt. People either love or hate wearing skirts. For me personally I’ve never been a crazy fan. I’m a wide girl so unless it’s a straight tight skirt it usually makes me look bigger. But recently I’ve seen how in they have been and dedicated a shopping day to finding the perfect fit, and I did!

Skirts have made a come back this season, especially flowy skirts with prints. People are pairing them with high boots, sneakers and high socks or just simple booties. As summer kicks in we will see more sandals and heels added to these styles.

I’ve noticed people are very into staying within trends but very into staying comfortable, which sign me all the way up for. In this post we’ll look at two types of skirts! Flowy patterned skirt; in this case Snakeskin and a black and white plaid short skirt.

When picking an outfit for work I always struggle with wanting to look on trend but making it comfortable for my commute. To my surprise a skirt can be just that! This snakeskin flowy piece is from H&M, I paired it with a black turtleneck from JcPenny and black booties from Steve Madden. This is the perfect outfit to add style to a work day outfit but still perfect to catch drinks with your friends after.

The second option is a straight black and white plaid short skirt. This plaid skirt is matched with a turtleneck as well. On this take we add a beige blazer to add character paired with long over knee boots.

The trick for skirts is to see what works for you and your body. Both skirt give you a sexy feeling. In both looks very on trend but two very different pieces.
